EBJ Team

Jaco Pretorius, is a member of the Board and founder of EBJ Mining Construction. He has over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry, he held various management positions throughout the years and with this experience and exposure in this sector, opened EBJ in 2009 and has grown EBJ into EBJ Holdings Company consisting of numerous mining and engineering projects.  Jaco’s aim was becoming the primary founder to subcontract for big Mining Services Companies.

Abel Mosime, joined EBJ in 2014 as a Director of one of the Holdings companies. Abel is a highly experienced leader who brings EBJ to new heights. He graduated with his BCOM degree and holds a pivotal role within our corporation.

Manny started his mining career with Gencor in 1988, and has worked in the mining industry for over 30 years. He has held several management positions with major mining houses. He is the holder of a BSc Mining Engineering degree (Wits), a MMC of competency (1995) and several other qualifications. He joined EBJ in 2015 as Chief Operating Officer, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2017.

Dewald started his mining career with Amplats in 1996, and has worked in the mining industry for over 24 years. He has held several management positions on major mining projects in SA. He is the holder of a BTech Mining Engineering degree (UJ), a MMC of competency (2006) and other qualifications. He joined EBJ in 2014 as Head of Mining, and was appointed Director of New Business in 2015.

After completing her degree in Risk Management and Trades at the North West University, Potchefstroom in 2006, Ida started working at Murray & Roberts Cementation as a Site Clerk. From there she was promoted to various positions to finally hold the position of Site Accountant at the Cementation Head Office. In 2009, Ida decided to join the EBJ team as their Financial Manager. In just a short period of time the company enlarged its footprint and more divisions were required to be created. In 2018, Ida completed her MBA, also at the North West University, with her group being recognized as the overall winners of the University company projects. Ida currently holds the position of the Chief Financial Officer of EBJ Holdings Group.

After completing his degree at North West University, Morne started working for EBJ Mining Construction CC on 20 January 2011 as Assistant underground.

With his qualification: B.Com International Trade and Economics, he was moved to Head Office to assist with the designing of the company website. He was soon moved into administration as Marketing and Estimating Co-ordinator in December 2012. Morné proceeded to the Finance Department and played a pivotal role in the Company’s tender process as Marketing and Estimating Coordinator and in 2016 he was promoted to Finance and Admin Manager. From 01 December 2017, Morné holds the position as Group Financial Officer of EBJ Holdings, which will include Mining, Engineering and Retail divisions

After completing his matric, Dieter joined Anglo Gold as a Learner Official part of their training program in the year 2000.

Dieter completed the training program in 2006 and during this period he obtained his Diploma in Mining Engineering as well as his Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency.

In 2006, he started his mining career at Great Noligwa Shaft in the Vaal River and gathered extensive experience in various mining disciplines. Dieter was recognized early in his career as a high performing leader in the production environment. In 2010, Dieter joined EBJ Holdings as a Site Manager in the Rustenburg region and was promoted to Operations Manager of the Matlosana/Saaiplaas Area. Dieter has 20 years’ experience in the multi commodity South African mining contracting environment. He heads up a young and energetic mining team that is dynamic and result driven.

Clemie started her mining career with EBJ in 2011, and has worked in the mining industry for over 9 years. She has held several positions within the organisation. From 1st March 2011 till 30th November 2012, she worked as an Executive Secretary to the Managing Director, from 1St of December 2012 Clemie was promoted as the Payroll Administrator/Payroll Manager till July 2019. On the 2nd August 2019 she was appointed as a Chief Executive Officer for EBJ Secunda / EBJ Northern Cape.
She is the holder of the National Diploma in Office Management and Technology (Unisa). She is currently left with two (2) modules to complete her BCOM in Business Management with UNISA.

Henk started his mining career with Rand Mines (Harmony Gold Mine) in 1984 as a Learner Official, and has worked in the mining industry for 35 years. He worked as a Mine Overseer at Harmony and Beatrix until 2002. He then started working as a Contract Manager at Rustenburg Platinum Mine in 2002 and joined EBJ as Operations Manager in 2016.
